Daniel was born in the North East of England. His graduation film GETTING THERE won Best Fiction at the Royal Television Society Awards. His next film, FENDER BENDER premiered in competition at Tampere International Film Festival where it won the Prix U.I.P. for Best European Short Film award and was subsequently nominated for Best European Short Film at the European Academy Awards.
THE MAKING OF PARTS premiered in competition at the Venice Film Festival where he won his second Prix U.I.P. for Best European Short Film and another European Academy Award Nomination. In the same year he produced and directed four short documentaries for Channel 4 Television.
JADE premiered in Competition at Berlin Film Festival, where it won the Silver Bear for Best Short Film. JADE was BAFTA-Nominated for Best Short Film the following year. Daniel’s work has screened at hundreds of international film festivals and have received many awards and nominations. Daniel is working on several feature projects.
